Valley Ridge Villas is a new 55+ active living community designed for adults who want to simplify their lifestyle while staying close to the people and places they love.

Valley Ridge Villas will offer private suites, shared gathering spaces, optional supports, and a simpler way to live, without leaving the town, routines and relationships you love behind.

This isn’t a care home. It’s a home base for your next chapter.

RURAL COMMUNITIES NEED BETTER HOUSING OPTIONS.

Many adults want a simpler home without leaving the town, routines, and relationships they love. Valley Ridge Villas was created to fill the gap between maintaining a large family home and moving into a care facility.

More freedom. Less upkeep.

  • Maintenance-free living

  • Private suites

  • Shared amenities

  • Optional supports

  • Space to host family

  • Time for travel, golf, and weekends at the lake

This isn’t about slowing down. It’s about making more room for the life you enjoy.

This project is bigger than one building.

Why this project matters:

  • Keeps older adults close to family and the community they know.

  • Opens housing for younger adults.

  • Supports healthcare recruitment.

  • Strengthens long-term rural infrastructure.

  • Keeps communities connected across generations.

This project was created by people who live here, work here, and want to see our rural communities continue to thrive.

This project has been years in the making.

Shaped by community input, regional partnerships, professional planning, and a shared belief that people should be able to stay close to the community and people they love.

Today, the project has moved from vision to action, with major planning milestones complete and the focus now on fundraising, financing, and future resident commitments.

VISUAL TIMELINE

Help us build something our community truly needs.

The Valley Life Housing Group (VLHG) is a not-for-profit, multi-municipal initiative formed to create long-term housing solutions for the Minnedosa region. The group represents a collaboration between the municipalities of:

  • Town of Minnedosa

  • Harrison Park

  • Minto-Odanah

  • Oakview

  • Yellowhead

  • Clanwilliam-Erickson

Community support and fundraising play a major role in making this project possible. Whether you’re interested in donating to the project, naming opportunities, sponsorship, supporting a suite or becoming a project advocate, your contribution helps create a place where people can continue living independently in the community they love.

Interested in living here?

The Valley Ridge Villas welcomes interest from adults 55+ across Minnedosa and surrounding communities.

You’ve spent your years building a life here, you shouldn’t have to leave it behind.

This project was created so people could continue living independently, comfortably and close to the community they call home, while also considering the next generation’s ability to put down roots here, by increasing the availability of family homes for them to move here and thrive, just like you had the opportunity to.
