  • Valley Ridge Villas is a new 55+ active living community in Minnedosa designed for older adults who want to live independently, comfortably, and close to the community they know and love. Residents will enjoy private suites, welcoming shared spaces, and optional supports that make everyday living easier and more social.

  • No. Valley Ridge Villas is not a nursing home or personal care home. It is designed for adults who are mostly independent but are looking for simpler living, less home maintenance, more convenience, and greater connection with others.

  • The building will feature 50 thoughtfully designed suites.

Suites & Building Features

  • Residents will be able to choose from:

    • One-bedroom suites

    • One-bedroom + den suites

    • A limited number of two-bedroom suites

    Suites range from approximately 582–926 square feet.

  • Each suite is designed for comfort, safety, and ease of living, and is planned to include:

    • Light kitchen with fridge, cooktop, sink, and microwave

    • In-suite storage

    • Walk-in shower (no bath tubs)

    • Individually controlled heating and cooling

    • Private balcony in most suites

  • The building is a modern three-storey design with two elevators and a welcoming U-shaped layout. A connected third-floor walking and sitting area will provide beautiful south-facing views and space for indoor walking and light exercise year-round.

  • Planned amenities include:

    • Main dining room

    • Family dining room for gatherings and celebrations

    • Wellness area for services such as hair, nails, and footcare

  • Yes. Valley Ridge Villas is being designed with community and connection in mind. Residents can look forward to social activities, wellness programming, and opportunities to stay active and engaged.

  • Absolutely. Residents will be able to welcome visitors into comfortable gathering spaces, including a bookable family dining room for meals, birthdays, holidays, and special occasions.

  • No. We welcome residents from Minnedosa and surrounding communities.

Costs & Living Information

  • Current estimated monthly rates (subject to change) start around $3,500/month and vary based on suite size and layout.

  • Yes. Couples or companions can add a second resident meal package for approximately $695/month.

  • Rent includes your private suite and access to the community’s shared amenities and spaces. Additional details regarding meals, housekeeping, and optional services will be shared closer to opening.

  • Rates are based on current estimates and may be adjusted before opening as final plans are completed.

  • Is there a deposit required?

    Yes. A refundable $1,000 deposit is required to reserve a space and will be applied toward future rent.

  • Yes. Interested applicants will be added to a list, and updates regarding timelines and next steps will be shared directly as the project progresses.

Care & Support

  • Valley Ridge Villas is an active living community, not a medical care facility. Residents will continue to access their regular healthcare providers and community services, while enjoying a supportive, community-focused living environment.

  • Can residents receive home care or private supports?

    In many assisted living communities, residents can continue to access home care or private support services if needed, at their own cost. More details will be shared as plans are finalized.

  • Yes. Additional parking details will be shared closer to opening.

Timeline & Updates

  • Our goal is to reach our fundraising goal and secure financing to start building in fall 2027 and welcome residents home in Spring 2029. Opening timelines will be shared once construction schedules are confirmed.
